Welcome to the Algarve

If you make a checklist of what is critical for the ideal conference and incentive destination, the Algarve will be the place.

Superb weather - With mild winters, hot summers tempered by Atlantic breezes and warm and sunny shoulder seasons.

Quality accommodation - From five-star luxury accommodation to world-renowned golfing resorts, chic boutique hotels and Pousadas to comfortable mid-range properties.

Meeting and exhibition facilities - In addition to its hotels, the region also boasts a wide range of top-class venues for conferences, conventions, business meetings, workshops, exhibitions, product launches, awards ceremonies, sporting events and cultural gatherings.

Activities and incentive ideas - Take your pick: from golf, tennis and a host of water sports, aquatic shows, vineyard tours, outdoor activities, jeep safaris to craftmanship.

The appeal of the Algarve doesn’t end here.

Rich history and culture - For social activities, convention add-ons or partner programmes, the Algarve has bustling, atmospheric towns and picturesque villages, Moorish castles and Baroque mansions, a lively and thriving arts and entertainment scene, from museums and galleries to restaurants, casinos and a vibrant nightlife.

Modern infrastructure - New motorways and an excellent network of local roads make it easy to get around this region. Trains, boats and planes are other transport options, together with yachts and cruise ships, helicopters and light aircraft.

World Travel Awards

It was an absolute pleasure to stage our 2012 Europe Gala Ceremony in the Algarve.

The team at Turismo do Algarve was a joy to work with and the world-beating beauty of the Algarve combined with great transport links and an established modern infrastructure makes this an ideal event location.
World Travel Awards are very much looking forward to staging future events in the Algarve.
